Two new terminals from HTC
Even if it’s going through difficult times, financially, HTC doesn’t give up and tries a comeback on the smartphone market, providing a range of top specification models and 5-inch Full HD screen.
In the specifications rumored around. it is mentioned a resolution of 1794×1080 pixels, which gathered with the 126 vertical lines necessary for Android navigation buttons total it totals 1920×1080 pixels – appropriate HD format. The setup is based around the quad-core Snapdragon MSM8960 S4 chipset, operating at 1.5 GHz and completed by the 320 Adreno graphics core.
Helped by a high-resolution screen, the new smartphone seems to compete with Android Note (5.3 inch) and its successor Galaxy Note 2 (5.5-inch screen), on its side having an increased clarity of Full HD images played on a smaller screen and a high-performance chipset and the solution we have competitors include LG, Optimus Vu 2, all equipped with a 5-inch screen, but based on the 4:3 and non-HD resolution of 1024×768 pixels. Among the competitors we have another solution LG Optimus Vu 2, also equipped with a 5-inch screen, but based on the 4:3 and a non-HD resolution of 1024×768 pixels.
Following the example of its competitors, HTC will launch the new smartphone at the beginning of autumn, during the months from September to October.
One of the youngest HTC series, One V, later this year will receive a significant update. The new terminal, codenamed Proto, will provide a range of additional facilities. First, the SLCD screen size will be increased from 3.7 “to 4″. The 5 MP camera, 4GB internal memory and 512 MB RAM have been preserved, clearly indicating that the terminal is within the entry level range. HTC One V is powered by a Qualcomm chipset with 1 GHz Snapdragon processor S2. Used by Sony Ericsson in several terminals, it proved to be a little slow in combination with Android 4.0.
The future HTC Proto receives a significant update to the processor. The Qualcomm MSM8225 chipset is part of the S4 family and provides a dual core processor at 1 GHz. Rumors mention the presence of a Beats Audio logo on the terminal’s case. That does not mean however that in the package will be a pair of headphones with the same logo. Another question mark is related to the phone’s positioning in the One Series. He could be a separate model, with a thickness of 9.62 mm, slightly thicker than One V. We are waiting for an official announcement regarding HTC Proto, while the launch should take place this year.
